Proclaiming the Word of God to His people is the task entrusted to those who join the ministry of proclaimers. When a Deacon is not present, the proclaimer, along with reading the Word, also leads the congregation during the Prayers of the Faithful and helps direct them with announcements. Individual training is provided to prepare those wishing to become proclaimers. Confirmed Catholics at least 18 years of age are eligible to join this ministry.
